My journey with food began nearly 6 years ago when I began making incremental swaps towards more whole foods to try to improve my digestion. In the process, I lost 50 pounds, cleared up chronic acne and Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and most importantly, found happiness, my passion, and myself. Since that time, I’ve gone on to receive my certification in Nutrition Consulting through Bauman College, and helped dozens of people find wellness through one-on-one coaching and workshops.
I am interested in helping people bridge the gap of health literacy by understanding that one of the most effective proactive measures we can take to better our health is to understand what’s in our food - that, in fact, there is truth to the old saying "you are what you eat". I believe that food and exercise are the first-line of defense to heal most common health complaints, and I’m committed to breaking the cycle of the Standard American Diet by raising my children on seasonal, local, whole foods.
